Domestic Violence

Domestic violence against men is only too real, the problem doesn’t as much attention as it should. There are a large majority of domestic violence, statistics on domestic violence against women. But there is sufficient evidence for men are exposed to domestic violence, as well. Some statistics show that of 100 reported cases of domestic violence, about 40 of them are against the men.

One of the biggest supporters are against domestic violence against men and women, Patti Austin, 2007 Grammy-winning singer and songwriter. She was so moved by this  “Epidemic ” blue movement that began assisting the victims of domestic violence. In fact, she was by the story she saw on Oprah that she wrote a song called  “the grace of God was hovering  ‘as a way to tackle domestic violence.

Domestic violence, whether against men or women should not be tolerated. It ‘s little understood how women could gain a wider public support because the company sees more vulnerable. And, of course, as well as cases of murder of Annie Le Yale Jaycee Dugard kidnapping or capture the spirit of the U.S. population. The perpetrators are usually men, but in the case Dugard, the culprit was his wife.

No matter how you look at the information that is domestic violence against men or women is a bad thing. It ‘s bad for the party, it hurts to destroy communities and families. Let’s all just hope that we have an opportunity to educate all find out about this terrible travesty.

Question About The Land Of The Free

Sometimes in life things change so slowly that you do not realize how much things changed in fact, before to sit and think about where you are in relation to where you have searched. The next day, while sitting at Baseball Spring Training game, I listened to the singing of the national anthem, which naturally includes the words, \ ‘Land Of The Free. I realized how far we have allowed the political class to take us away from that concept, “the land of the free.” Reflect for a moment on the following conditions and how those conditions deny us the freedom we may have had at one point in the past

1. You can not be free if all levels of government support to approximately 40% of his annual income and sustain themselves. According to the Tax Foundation, the average American household to 29 May in the Year 2009 have been working, \ all the political branch’s expenses, including coverage of the deficit spending of the federal government.

2. You can not be free, if the political class gerrymanders congressional districts to ensure that obligations of the parties and determined to beat it is almost impossible. After retiring Senator Evan Bayh, it is estimated that about 15 Congressional districts, from 435, are truly competitive.

3. You can not be free if the political class, which decides whether and your vote counts in the primaries. In 2008, the Democrats \ ‘Florida leadership has decided to vote for the Democratic candidate for the office do not count as moving Americans the courage to become their primary dates had to be relevant.

Gets depressing, if you have a really hard time this page view, where freedom is a freedom in this country today. Influence of global warming on hurricanes

Global warming is a term for a gradual warming of the average temperature on Earth. The term has become synonymous with global warming solely on the impact of human activity, especially carbon dioxide. The concentration of carbon dioxide from 300 ppm to 384 ppm has risen since 1900, with most accelerated growth in the last 40 years. Some scientists have drawn the conclusion that the increase in the Earths average temperature (about 1°F since 1975) is essentially solely based on man-made activities such as the burning of fossil fuels, biomass burning, and deforestation.

What are the effects of global warming on hurricanes?

It is a misconception that there is a common global temperature increased, hurricanes also must increase the number and intensity. We open up the paper and we read it. We turn on the television or the radio and we hear about it; it’s the “go green” movement. What does green mean? We have been celebrating Earth day for many years but how many people think about the environment the other 364 days (365 days in a leap year)? If we go grocery shopping, we see reusable grocery bags but do we actually purchase them? It seems purchasing these reusable shopping bags would be an easy effort to go green. With that in mind, what else can be done with green in mind?

When you hear green, it actually means a variety of things and anything, be it object or activity, can make an impact on our environment. For instance, the water in our houses can be made green with some simple changes.

Whenever you clean your dishes or need to wash the countertops off, you run the water endlessly until you no longer need it. You waste water cleaning your dishes or kitchen this way. It may seem like a bit of an effort but shut off the faucet until you’re ready to rinse the dishes or clean off your rag. When you waste water, you use about 60 percent more water than you really need to handle the task.

Many companies, in an effort to control how much water a person uses, are selling on-demand water faucets to be installed in homes. These devices were first created for public restrooms so that sinks would be unable to overflow should they be left on. Now you can find designer bathroom and kitchen faucets that will turn on when hands are near or touch the faucet. This means all you have to do to turn off the water is touch the faucet again or move away.

Newer faucets are installed with a flow restrictor valve that keeps the amount of water flowing down the drains “down”. Flow restrictors will only allow three gallons of water to flow per minute. In fact, many states are passing laws to have these installed. Older made faucets can be retrofitted with an aerator/flow valve. Bear in mind that aerators do not save water but it gives the feeling that more water is flowing because more air is expanding the water stream volume. Some home kitchens have a bypass valve that allows pasta pots to fill up in a sensible amount of time.

You may not realize it but some studies have concluded that dishwashers actually use less water as well as soap than a person washing their hands. The reason for this is that when you wash dishes by hand you must turn on the water, you must let it warm up so that you can rinse off the dish, you need to wash it and rinse it off again. However, a dishwasher uses a predetermined amount of water and through a filtering process, it reuses the water from the wash cycle. For a small rinse cycle, fresh water is used.

Germany has a powerful technological economy. In 2003, Germany’s GNI per capita was $25,250. It is the twenty-third highest in the world in terms of per capita income: $38,860. The growth rate of GDP has declined annually since the early 1980s.

Germany had considerable economic success in rebuilding its economy after losing World War II. It is now the third largest economic power in the world, after the US and Japan. The fiscal and monetary policy adopted by the government was cautious. The idea was to make a social market economy. This idea demanded the economy to be governed by market forces, the state correcting the imperfections of marketing and helping the underprivileged. A lot of attention was paid to bank financing. Companies could focus on objectives on the long term.

German economy is split into two regions: West Germany and East Germany. In the east, economy is still quite weak. The unemployment rate is double than that in the west. After the unification of West and East Germany in 1990, Germany’s flourishing economy declined.

Manufacturing is an important sector for the German economy. Telecommunications is also becoming an important sector. The most important manufacturing industries are the chemical and the automotive industries. The share of manufacturing in GDP has become stable at 30%, while that of fishing, agriculture or forestry has kept falling, the lowest point being reached in 2002 according to statistics of the World Bank.

Agriculture has little importance for the economy as a whole and the steel-making sector has been declining. Agriculture employed less than 3% of the population in 2004, a decreased number compared to 4% in 1991. Still Germany manages to cover 90% of its nutritional necessities through its domestic production.

Exports account for over 1/3 of the national output, as Germany’s economy is mostly export-oriented. Germany exports mainly chemicals, vehicles, food, beer, machinery, textiles, electronics and metals and imports textiles, machinery, textiles and chemicals. Germany’s largest trade partner is France. The United States of America are the second largest trade partner. Germany imports from the US mostly data processing equipment and aircraft and exports in return motor vehicles, chemicals, machinery and electrical equipment.

The most important German energy resource is coal, although its extraction has diminished since 1989, due to the environmental policy. After United States, China, India and Japan, Germany is the fifth largest energy consumer in the world and the largest in Europe.

Get To Know Sea Turtles

Recently, American scientists tracked 9 leatherback turtles. This process of tracking lasted 695 days and was across the Pacific Ocean over 20,000 kilometers.

American Ocean and Atmosphere Administration (AOAA) was responsible for this project. Peter Dutton, a scientist from AOAA, said, “These turtles are a kind of marvelous animal. We haven’t yet learned much knowledge about them.” Sea turtles like leatherback turtle are the animals that are hard to track, because it is difficult to find them in oceans. And sea turtles can be said to lonely travelers. They often dive a few kilometers in ocean. There are few chances for them to float on water to breath. Scientists have always wanted to learn more about the lives of sea turtles. In the past, many scientists have send ships and aircraft to search the hiding places for sea turtles.

A scientist said, “Sea turtle is a kind of species that is hard to find.” Many scientists have even not seen them. In order to understand them, the scientists have successfully installed satellite transmitters on 9 leatherback turtles which are in the Pacific area. During the 695 days’ tracking, the 9 turtles traversed the Pacific Ocean from Papua New Guinea to Indonesia, Hawaii, and finally arrived at the seashore in Oregon. They stayed there to enjoy jellyfish’s meal. And then, they returned to Hawaii. That concludes the whole tracking. In the 695 days, the longest-swimming distance of these turtles is 20,570 kilometers. Sometimes, it can swim 56.4 kilometer a day. It is an amazing animal indeed.

Sea turtle is considered a threat to the creature in the Atlantic and Pacific coast of the United States. People in some tropical countries caught them when they came ashore to lay eggs, and some fishing boats mistakenly captured them. Therefore, the turtle’s number in Pacific area has decreased by 95%.
